Part sets allow for the protection of the perimeter or a selected area of a building. The SPC allows for two part sets per area, you can define the name of this element and also how they operate.<\/p>\n

Please note that Part sets are disabled by default on SPC systems and when a user is accessing a keypad or web page the part set options do not appear<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

How to configure<\/h3>\n

In order to enable the Part set options you must edit the area for which you wish to enable the options for how you wish the part set to operate,\u00a0 The options you have are<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Enables<\/h6>\n

Turns on or off the part set option<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Timed<\/h6>\n

This will apply the exit timer to the\u00a0Partset\u00a0A or B mode.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Access<\/h6>\n

This will change access zones into entry\/exit type zones for either\u00a0Partset\u00a0A or B operation. This feature is useful for a domestic installation where a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor is located in the hallway. If the user\u00a0partsets the system at night and returns downstairs during the night, he\/she may unintentionally activate the PIR sensor in the hallway and trigger the alarm. By setting the\u00a0partset\u00a0access option, the buzzer will sound for the entry time period when the PIR sensor is activated thereby warning the user that the alarm will activate if no action is taken.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Exit\/Entry:<\/h6>\n

This will change\u00a0 the behaviour of entry\/exit zones to alarm zones when in\u00a0Partset\u00a0A or B mode. This feature is useful for a domestic installation when the system has been set in\u00a0partset\u00a0mode. If the user\u00a0partsets the system at night he\/she may wish the alarm to activate immediately if the front or back door is opened during the night.<\/p>\n

Local<\/h6>\n

This will restrict the reporting of alarms in\u00a0Partset\u00a0Mode to local reporting only (No remote reporting).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

No Bells<\/h6>\n

no bells will be activated for\u00a0partset\u00a0A or B.<\/p>\n

For convivence you can change the name of the Part set to anything you choose, this is set in the system options and is definable for Part Set A and B<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

Selecting which zones are included?<\/h3>\n
\n\t

Each zone on SPC can be included in the Part Set A or B so you can arm all zones, downstairs, upstairs, perimeter the choice is yours. To do this you select if a zone is excluded from Part set A or B.\u00a0 This option is available in each zone<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

Exclude A<\/strong><\/p>\n

If the \u2018Exclude A\u2019 attribute on a zone is\u00a0set, then an alarm will not be generated by that zone opening while the panel is in the\u00a0Partset\u00a0A mode. The \u2018Exclude A\u2019 attribute is valid for Alarm zone type and Entry\/Exit zones only. A FULL alarm is generated if a zone with the EXCLUDE A attribute is opened while the system is in FULLSET\u00a0or\u00a0PARTSET\u00a0B Mode (Bells - Internal and External, Strobe).<\/p>\n

Exclude B<\/p>\n

When the \u2018Exclude B\u2019 attribute is\u00a0set, the zone opening will not generate an alarm while the panel is in the\u00a0Partset\u00a0B mode. The \u2018Exclude B\u2019 attribute is valid for Alarm zone type and E\/Exit zones only. A FULL alarm is generated if a zone with the EXCLUDE B attribute is opened while the system is in FULLSET\u00a0or\u00a0PARTSET\u00a0A Mode (Bells - Internal and External, Strobe).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

How to determine who can control part set?<\/h3>\n

Using the SPCK6XX or SPCK5XX series keypads you can add a shortcut code to the keypad, this allows a user to quickly arm the system by pressing a key twice.<\/p>\n
